In 2001, Bev and Julian came across the Green Parrot Healthfood shop for sale, located in a beautiful Grade II Georgian town house in the heart of Swaffham market town in Norfolk. A couple of years later, the shop had expanded and a therapy clinic opened on the first floor.
Fast forward to May 2024 and it’s time to close the door on healthfoods and open the Green Parrot Coffee shop. Designed to complement the expanding clinic, the emphasis is on quality coffee, pastries and sourdough bread, locally sourced and ethically produced. From the very beginning we have made it our goal to use the finest, local produce available and as a result we have selected some of the best producers in Norfolk to work alongside;
All of our coffee is specialty grade and supplied to us by Tropic Coffee in King's Lynn, a father and son set up that has been running for decades producing some of the best coffee Norfolk has to offer.
Free From and Fab supply all of our gluten free bakes. Based in Narborough, Alicia produces amazing cakes and brownies, so delicious you would never know they were gluten free!
The majority of our pastries and sourdough breads are produced by Bread Source in Norwich, with additional savoury pastries baked by Routier, just a couple of miles down the road at West Acre.
Our sandwich fillings come from Swaffham grocer Starlings, Norfolk ham from Impson Butchers and cheese from one of our Saturday market traders, Christies.
We continue to be as green and zero waste as possible, and fully committed to providing the local community and passers by with quality produce and excellent customer service.
